Basketball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Rosemead

With a playoff win on the line, Rosemead rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the South El Monte Eagles by a score of 44-33. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Eagles on February 3rd, they had to take a 58-48 loss.

It was another big night for Rhys Anderson, who posted 26 points. The match was his fourth in a row with at least 17 points.

Rosemead pushed their record up to 16-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points over those games. As for South El Monte, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-16.

Looking ahead, Rosemead will challenge Arroyo at 7:00 p.m. on February 28th. Arroyo will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rosemead surely won't give up without a fight. South El Monte does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
