The Fort Wayne Snider Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Homestead Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Fort Wayne Snider sitting on three straight victories and Homestead on seven.
On Wednesday, Fort Wayne Snider got the win against Fort Wayne Wayne by a conclusive 12-1.
Makayla Stone made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Ella Houser was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle O'Neill, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Fort Wayne Snider always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Homestead earned a 4-1 win over Heritage on Wednesday.
Macy Arnold looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Olivia Schultheis, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Ellyana Hyder was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs.
Fort Wayne Snider's record now sits at 6-10. As for Homestead, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Fort Wayne Snider came out on top in a nail-biter against Homestead in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
