Baseball Recap: Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams Takes a Loss

Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-11. They came up short against the American Heritage Patriots, falling 19-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since August 29, 2023, but that streak is no more.

As for American Heritage, the victory got them back to even at 10-10. Considering they have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For American Heritage's part, Tanner Brockbank made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Brockbank also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because American Heritage is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise. Brockbank was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three).

In other batting news, American Heritage let Adam Lee and Justin Robertson run wild. Lee got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Robertson went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Lee has become a key player for American Heritage: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-9 otherwise. Matthew Brady was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
