Basketball Game Preview: Valley Vista Monsoon vs. Williams Field Black Hawks

The Valley Vista Monsoon will face off against the Williams Field Black Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Valley Vista came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point loss last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of La Joya Community by a score of 37-35 last Friday. The Monsoon haven't had much luck with the Fighting Lobos recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Williams Field's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against Centennial, falling 69-45. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Black Hawks came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 17th in Arizona, while the Huskies are ranked 168th in California).

Valley Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Williams Field, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
