Little Cypress-Mauriceville waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. Everything went their way against the Hudson Hornets as they made off with a 12-2 victory. Considering the Bears have won 18 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Lexis Moss, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Tessa Erickson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one triple.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-4-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Hudson, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-13.

Little Cypress-Mauriceville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hornets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
