Baseball Recap: Crawford's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Crawford can now relate to. They fell just short of Collinsville by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Crawford has suffered since March 21st.

Crawford saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kade Smith, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Ryan Yocham was another, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Crawford's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-10. As for Collinsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Crawford nor Collinsville have any future games scheduled.
