Football Game Preview: Southwestern Randolph Cougars vs. Eastern Randolph Wildcats + How To Watch

Southwestern Randolph hasn't had much luck against Eastern Randolph recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cougars will square off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Southwestern Randolph is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 50-26 margin over McMichael last Friday. The Cougars pushed the score to 50-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Phoenix cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, while Eastern Randolph put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Northwood. The Wildcats blew past the Chargers 38-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Chargers are ranked 349th).

Eastern Randolph pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.7 points over those games. As for Southwestern Randolph, their record now sits at 4-2.

Southwestern Randolph was dealt a bruising 49-0 defeat at the hands of Eastern Randolph in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
