Beechcroft has gone 8-2 against East recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Beechcroft played against Mifflin on Thursday and won via forfeit.

Beechcroft will be up against a hot East team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Tigers strolled past Whetstone with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 29-12. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Braves are ranked 549th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East's win came from a few key players Beechcroft will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dominique Edwards, who rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. Dior Hansard was another key player, throwing for 205 yards and one TD on only 17 passes.

One reason for the win was East's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Marqwez Mattox was especially locked on to Whetstone's QB and sacked him twice.

Beechcroft's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for East, their record is now 5-1.

Beechcroft might still be hurting after the 50-25 loss they got from East in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
