Basketball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Petersburg Vikings 82-29. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-21 back in December of 2024.

Liberty's record now sits at 1-14. As for Petersburg, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will welcome Braxton County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Petersburg, they will be playing at home against Tucker County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
