Baseball Game Preview: Miami Stingarees vs. Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles

The Miami Stingarees are taking a road trip to take on the Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Miami will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Miami is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Raines on Tuesday as Miami made off with a 22-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Stingarees, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Alex Semet looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Tyler Jenkins was a standout: he scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in February. Jhuseph Mejias was another key player, going 2-for-3 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Paxon School For Advanced Studies' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Keystone Heights, falling 13-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Golden Eagles have suffered since March 19, 2024.

Caleb Robinson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ethan Gomez, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Paxon School For Advanced Studies' loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Miami, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.
