Basketball Game Preview: Durand Bulldogs vs. Pecatonica Indians

The Durand Bulldogs just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Pecatonica Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Durand has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Durand turned things around against Alden-Hebron on Monday. They walked away with a 48-39 victory over the Green Giants.

Meanwhile, Pecatonica had to suffer through a 62-33 loss at the hands of Central/Southeastern. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Panthers are ranked 19th).

Durand's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Pecatonica, their loss dropped their record down to 15-4.

Durand was dealt a bruising 53-17 defeat at the hands of Pecatonica in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Durand avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
