Basketball Recap: Kodiak Takes a Loss

Kodiak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 70-9 loss at the hands of the Barrow Whalers. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Whalers are ranked 16th).

Kodiak's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Barrow, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Barrow beat Kodiak by a score of 70-9 on Thursday.
