Gilbert Christian skates past Globe with ease

Recap: Gilbert Christian Knights vs. Globe Tigers

The Gilbert Christian Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Globe, posting a 76-40 victory at home. The victory was just what Gilbert Christian needed coming off of a 48-28 defeat in their prior game.

Leading Gilbert Christian to victory were Kaila Aston and Unesu Machiri. Aston almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while Machiri scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aston has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillie Duitsman, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.

Gilbert Christian's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-12. As for Globe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Gilbert Christian will head out on the road to challenge San Tan Foothills at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Tan Foothills is coming into the match with six straight wins at home, so Gilbert Christian is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Globe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
