Basketball Recap: Hanford Triumphs

Hanford won the last time they faced Hoover and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hanford Bullpups slipped by the Hoover Patriots 74-73.

When it comes to explaining why Hoover lost, don't look at Keon Hill. Despite the final result, he posted 31 points. Hoover is 5-2 when Hill posts 15 or more points, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Cadenhead, who had 13 points.

Hanford is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points per game. As for Hoover, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6.

Hanford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-51 defeat against San Joaquin Memorial on the 7th. As for Hoover, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 48-45 victory against Fresno on the 10th.
