The Walker Wildcats will head out on the road to take on Lakeshore at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Walker is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Walker is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since October 1st on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Denham Springs as Walker made off with a 3-0 victory.
One reason for the win was Walker's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-10.
Walker relied on the efforts of Lily Vetter, who had 29 digs, and Jaiden Jordan, who had 23 digs. Vetter is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Lakeshore faced Northshore in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Lakeshore fell 3-1 to Northshore.
Walker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. As for Lakeshore, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-12.
