Recap: Warren County Screaming Devils vs. Aquinas Fightin' Irish

The Warren County Screaming Devils lost against the Aquinas Fightin' Irish back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Warren County was dealt a 45-8 loss at the hands of Aquinas. Warren County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-8.

Aquinas was led to victory by Jim Franklin and Buddyrow Garrer. Franklin threw for 283 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt, while Garrer picked up 195 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Jack Rhodes also helped out with an impressive 82 receiving yards.

Aquinas' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Jaden Wuerth was especially locked on to Warren County's QB and sacked him twice.

This is the second loss in a row for Warren County and nudges their season record down to 3-7. As for Aquinas, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Warren County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Aquinas will be playing at home against Glascock County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Glascock County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 409th, while Aquinas is ranked 191st).
