Basketball Recap: Oakridge Comes Up Short

Oakridge played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 57-19 defeat at the hands of the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans. The Owls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-3.

St. Stephen's Episcopal's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kennedy Lartigue led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten steals. The dominant performance also gave Lartigue a new career-high in assists (seven). Another player making a difference was Donnica Armstrong, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 15 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Oakridge and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
