Basketball Game Preview: White Plains Wildcats vs. Ohatchee Indians

The White Plains Wildcats will take on the Ohatchee Indians in a tournament on Thursday.

Last Friday, White Plains was beaten by Glencoe 55-27. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 108th).

Meanwhile, Ohatchee entered their tilt with Gaylesville on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 41-16 margin over the Trojans. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

White Plains' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Ohatchee, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

White Plains came up short against Ohatchee in their previous meeting back in January, falling 44-35. Can White Plains avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
