Recap: Ridgeway Roadrunners vs. White Station Spartans
The Ridgeway Roadrunners lost to the White Station Spartans back in December of 2022, but the Ridgeway Roadrunners didn't allow the White Station Spartans the same satisfaction on Thursday. The stars were shining brightly for Ridgeway in a 59-43 victory over White Station. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ridgeway.
Ridgeway's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brian Carter, Jr. led the charge by scoring 21 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Carter, Jr.'s fifth in a row with at least ten points. Emanuel Allen was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Ridgeway's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for White Station, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgeway and Melrose will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Melrose knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Ridgeway likes a good challenge. White Station will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ridgeway at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Ridgeway has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 322 points over their last five matchups.
