Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Marion/Tigerton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the Sevastopol Pioneers 50-16 on Friday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Marion/Tigerton's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Sevastopol, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
