Baseball Recap: Hesperia Christian Falls Short of Pioneer in the Playoffs

Hesperia Christian and Pioneer squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Hesperia Christian had to settle for second. They lost 14-8 to the Titans.

Jaden Solorzano and Cory Villalba did some serious damage despite the final result: Solorzano went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run, while Villalba got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ezra Hawthorne, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Hesperia Christian's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-12. As for Pioneer, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-12.

Hesperia Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pioneer, they will challenge Beverly Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Normans will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight.
