Soccer Game Preview: Berry vs. Chambers

The Berry Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the Chambers Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Berry's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Berry will bounce into Monday's match after beating Olympic, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cardinals skirted past the Trojans 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Berry were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Chambers was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against Mallard Creek, falling 3-0.

Berry's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Chambers, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Berry came out on top in a nail-biter against Chambers in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
