Softball Recap: Allentown Central Catholic Drops Highest Score of Season Against Louis E. Dieruff

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Allentown Central Catholic). They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies on Wednesday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Gianna Menecola was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Luci Comfort was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

Allentown Central Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Allentown Central Catholic's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Louis E. Dieruff, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
