Basketball Recap: Sound Christian's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Sound Christian suffered their biggest loss since January 8th on Saturday. They came up short against the Wellpinit Redskins, falling 64-42.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Moses Stiver, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. What's more, Stiver also posted an 86% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Makai Resseau, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 14 points.

Sound Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-7. As for Wellpinit, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Sound Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wellpinit, they are taking a road trip to take on Ocosta at 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ocosta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.
