Softball Game Preview: Boonton Bombers vs. Garfield Boilermakers

The Boonton Bombers will head out on the road to challenge the Garfield Boilermakers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Boonton came up short against Morristown-Beard and fell 10-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Bombers in their meetings with the Crimson: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Garfield came up short against Lodi on Saturday, falling 16-8.

Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Boonton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-17.

Boonton skirted past Garfield 7-5 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
