Basketball Game Preview: Willow Spring Storm vs. Green Level Gators + Official Tickets

Willow Spring hasn't had much luck against Green Level recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Storm will get right back to it and host the Gators at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Willow Spring's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.

On Monday, Willow Spring earned a 78-67 win over Cary. Given the Storm's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Imps are ranked 238th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Green Level came up short against Cardinal Gibbons on Thursday and fell 64-56.

Despite the loss, Green Level saw an underclassman step up: freshman Andrew Martinho went 7-for-15 on his way to 21 points. Thanks to that strong game, Martinho now owns an excellent 40.9% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Schall, who posted 12 points and five boards.

Willow Spring has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points over those games. As for Green Level, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
