Baseball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 7-3 to the Seneca Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 last Tuesday.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Seneca, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will face off against Greer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greer's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Liberty's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Seneca, they will square off against Easley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
