Shadow Hills waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Palm Desert Aztecs a 13-0 shutout. 13 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Ava Valenzuela looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Gianna Hernandez was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ximena Arizaga, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Shadow Hills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .379 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Shadow Hills pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Palm Desert, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
