            Softball Recap: J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado vs. William Penn Bearcats        
        
		
        
        
            J.P. McCaskey had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the William Penn Bearcats as the J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado made off with  a  16-1 victory. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Red Tornado as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.
 Lleana Martinez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Martinez was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Alayah Gartman was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Isabel Balbuena, who  scored two  runs and  stole  Four bases. while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. J.P. McCaskey will welcome Conestoga Valley  at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. As for William Penn,  a feisty cat fight will be fought as William Penn Bearcats  face off against  Central Dauphin East Panthers at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
