Football Game Preview: Chickasaw Chieftains vs. Central Lions

The Chickasaw Chieftains will challenge the Central Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chickasaw will be strutting in after a victory while Central will be coming in after a loss.

Chickasaw is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 48-20 win over Fruitdale. The Chieftains haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Central is still winless after their game against Ellwood Christian on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-18 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eagles.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Chickasaw, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Chickasaw came out on top in a nail-biter against Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. Will the Chieftains repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
