Baseball Recap: Peninsula Takes a Loss

Peninsula was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent loss being a 13-4 defeat last Wednesday.

Peninsula saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Light, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Peninsula's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for South, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Peninsula has already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against West on the 5th. As for South, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 9-5 loss against West Covina on the 5th.
