Softball Recap: Monterey Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Monterey challenged Cannon County on Tuesday. The Wildcats lost 19-6 to the Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

Monterey's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Cannon County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Monterey will be playing in front of their home fans against York Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cannon County, they will take on Watertown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
