Del Rio's top pitcher this week was Steven Corona. He won one game and struck out three batters.

In the ongoing battle for first place, California beat Whittier this week, 7-3 on Wednesday. California sits in first place in the league at 11-4 (18-7 overall).

El Rancho gave up just four walks last week, ensuring that it held on to the top spot in the league in that category with only 57 allowed for the season.

The week's strikeout crown belonged to Gilbert Sanchez, who turned in 20 Ks for Santa Fe. With 33 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks fourth in the league.



The Chiefs' Gilbert Medina finished his week with seven hits, tops in the league. His 27 hits for the year are sixth in the league, and he boasts a .338 batting average.
