Nate O'Donnell posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over 5.1 innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

Coming up, O'Donnell and Knoxville Catholic will challenge Webb at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Fighting Irish are 8-2 against the Spartans going back to March of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
