Softball Recap: Reseda Wins Going Away Against Grant

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sylmar, Reseda was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Grant Lancers with a sharp 26-3 victory. Considering the Regents have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Fuentes Thereze, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Angelina Reyes was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Reseda's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Grant, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Reseda is set to challenge their familiar foe Monroe at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Grant will take on rival Sylmar at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
