Softball Recap: Langley's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Langley's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Yorktown Patriots on Tuesday. The Saxons' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Norah Jacques was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 21 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Jacques wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Megan Connery, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base.

Langley's record now sits at 16-6-1. As for Yorktown, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-9.

As of now, neither Langley nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
