Volleyball Recap: Musselman Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Musselman waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Smith County Owls by a score of 2-0.

Musselman easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-10.

Olivia Allis paced Musselman's offense, picking up six kills. Allis got some help from Maddie Shelton and her 13 assists. Shelton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Musselman's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Smith County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, Musselman and Smith County will both be playing Betsy Layne the next time they take the court. The Applemen will head out to face the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Owls will host them at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
