Football Recap: Arroyo Grande Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Arroyo Grande's game on Friday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They and the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos were almost perfectly matched up, but the Eagles suffered a 42-41 loss. The Eagles were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Defeat or not, Arroyo Grande got some senior leadership from Caleb Clark and Zack Tayman. Clark gained 161 total yards and four touchdowns, while Tayman rushed for 221 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Tayman was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards.

Chase Wyhlidko continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Twelve Bridges, rushing for 173 yards and three scores, while also picking up 32 receiving yards. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Wyhlidko a new career-high. Connor Frontiera was another key player, throwing for 206 yards and one TD.

Arroyo Grande's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3. As for Twelve Bridges, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
