After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Shelton, Xavier was happy to have turned things around  on Wednesday. They blew past the Hand Tigers 3-0. The  win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.
 Xavier was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19,  25-14.
 Seamus McCormack paced Xavier's offense, picking up 16 kills. McCormack got some help from  Elijah Barnhart and his 31 assists. McCormack was also solid from the service line:  he led the team with two aces.
Xavier's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Hand, their defeat was  their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-13.
 Looking ahead, Xavier will head out to  face off against New Britain  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Golden Hurricanes will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. Hand does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
