Buena Vista not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 17th. They blew past the South Sioux City Cardinals 81-55. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Cardinals are ranked 206th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Buena Vista had a senior duo take command as Brandon Jarmon went 11-for-19 en route to 28 points in addition to eight boards and five steals and LC Doss shot 55% from the field to rack up 32 points and six rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Doss has scored at least a third of Buena Vista's points. Ater Lual was another key player, putting up six points and five boards.

South Sioux City lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaden Painter, who posted 20 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Housman, who earned 15 points.

Buena Vista's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for South Sioux City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

Buena Vista has already played their next contest, a 44-43 loss against Grand Island on the 1st. As for South Sioux City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-54 defeat against Omaha South on the 28th.
