Basketball Recap: Gordonsville Takes a Loss

Gordonsville lost against Clarkrange on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gordonsville Tigers took a 52-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clarkrange Buffaloes. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 78th).

Gordonsville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Clarkrange, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Red Boiling Springs the next time they take the court. Gordonsville will head out to face Red Boiling Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Clarkrange will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
