Recap: Lausanne Collegiate Lynx vs. Evangelical Christian Eagles
After flying high against the St. George's Gryphons last Monday, the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx came back down to earth. Lausanne Collegiate fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 42-40. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lausanne Collegiate of the 43-39 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture on January 12th.
Despite the loss, Lausanne Collegiate still got an impressive performance from Carson Boyle, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Ford, who scored eight points.
Lausanne Collegiate has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Evangelical Christian, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lausanne Collegiate and the Trojans will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Northpoint Christian is ranked 181st in Mississippi, while the Lynx are ranked 159th in Tennessee). As for Evangelical Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
