Volleyball Recap: Yorktown Takes a Loss

If Yorktown was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Woodson on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriots fell 3-1 to the George C. Marshall Statesmen on Thursday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 28, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Yorktown now has a losing record of 6-7. As for George C. Marshall, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Yorktown will face off against rival Langley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, George C. Marshall is set to square off against their familiar foe Washington-Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
