Softball Recap: Chelsea Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Helena

Chelsea faced Helena in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Hornets fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 6-5. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Katie Hopson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Chelsea's defeat dropped their record down to 25-14-1. As for Helena, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 22-12-2.

Chelsea didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-4 loss against Austin on the 18th. As for Helena, they have also already played their next game, a 10-7 victory against Spain Park on the 17th.
