Soccer Game Preview: Hillcrest vs. Tooele

The Hillcrest Huskies will challenge the Tooele Buffaloes at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Thursday, Hillcrest didn't have quite enough to beat Park City and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, Tooele's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 3-1 to Murray. While losing is never fun, Tooele can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Murray are ranked ninth).

Tooele's goal came courtesy of Casen Walker, who's now up to nine this season.

Hillcrest has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Tooele, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Everything went Hillcrest's way against Tooele when the teams last played back in April, as Hillcrest made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
