Softball Recap: Sullivan Takes a Loss

Sullivan managed to slip by Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Redskins came up short against the Knights on Saturday, falling 14-3. The Redskins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 13-12.

Sullivan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J'Nai Webb, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Sullivan moved to 17-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season.

Sullivan will square off against Shelbyville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
