Football Game Preview: Clear Falls Knights vs. Brazoswood Buccaneers

The Clear Falls Knights will square off against the Brazoswood Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Clear Falls lost to Deer Park on the road by a 49-35 margin.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kyden Barker, who threw for 295 yards and two TDs. Zach Greer was Barker's top target, picking up 137 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brazoswood). They claimed a resounding 55-27 victory over Clear Lake. With the Buccaneers ahead 34-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

The win got Brazoswood back to even at 2-2. As for Clear Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Clear Falls against Brazoswood in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-3 victory. In that matchup, the Knights amassed a halftime lead of 42-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
