Baseball Recap: Cardinal O'hara's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cardinal O'Hara waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Roman Catholic Cahillite. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jack Quinn made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Cardinal O'Hara is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise. Quinn was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brendan Till, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Thomas Flynn, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Cardinal O'Hara's record now sits at 4-2. As for Roman Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
