Basketball Recap: Oxbridge Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Jayden St. Fort and James Deyoung

Oxbridge Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 82-60 to the Cardinal Newman Crusaders. If the ThunderWolves were looking for revenge after losing 74-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oxbridge Academy's loss came despite strong showings from James Deyoung and Jayden St. Fort. Deyoung went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points, while St. Fort posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Molinary, who put up seven points.

Oxbridge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Cardinal Newman, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Oxbridge Academy will venture away from home to face off against Lake Worth Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oxbridge Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season. As for Cardinal Newman, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Vero Beach at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Cardinal Newman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
