Basketball Recap: Buhach Colony Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Elijah Garza and Carter Chapman

Buhach Colony saw some tournament action on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 66-52 to the Granada Matadors. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Buhach Colony's loss came despite strong showings from Carter Chapman and Elijah Garza. Chapman went 7 of 15 en route to 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Garza went 10 of 20 en route to 22 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Garza a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lukas Anderson, who posted two points and five rebounds.

Buhach Colony's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Granada, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

Buhach Colony wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-47 loss against Fairfield on the 14th. As for Granada, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-53 defeat against Placer on the 14th.
